the palette of life

On a lovely summer eve
Midst the trails of green
As the vibrant birds chirp
The wheezing dogs bark
I watch the magic of life
While running around the park

A tiny toddler walks on the grass
There’s his mom, to catch as he falls
An old lady just passes by
Limping her way through the next mile

Those little carefree kids swing in joy
Chuckling their way to reach the sky
A gang of ladies chat and cackle
Breathing free, breaking the shackles

Where a sweet boy hits the paddle
The pulsating team scores a goal
A dainty squirrel bounces by
With naughty eyes and cheery demeanour

Sitting on a wooden bench
I curiously glance around
Smiling to myself
At the irony unbound
