Burning in walls
melting on fire
furious, frantic
her soul crushed on pyre
‘Just run away…far away’
she heard a voice squeal
So smashing the cage
pacing with rage
she ran into
her aching desire
Beneath the dusky sky
it wildly began
a frisky breeze
through swaying trees
licked her ear again
Like an avalanche
It came storming in
Catching her off guard
If only she knew
The hand behind this
Was it her sweet Satan, or dear God?
Engulfed in winds
Barren streets moaned
That reckless touch
fueled a tremble down her spine
the stain she had been longing
in lieu of cloud nine
Crawling on her skin
fingers to the brim
from a biting wave of nip
she shivered from within
Taste of ecstasy
raced through her veins
as a callous gaze traced
her deep dark remains
Stroking her nerves
Like strings of lyre
Her mouth so parched
Gasping in dire
Veering suddenly, sans a goodbye
Far away the wind goes
Fleeting like a hoper’s woes
Wrenching for more, rippling on the edge
She stands there unaided
Slowly breathing
A scent so faded.
