After having zillions of release dates, Wazir finally released.

However, it is an underwhelming story of a reckless father, his gorgeous wife and Pandit Ji. Danish (Farhan), an ATS officer who chases terrorists with his daughter playing games on cellphone in the car’s back seat, his beautiful wife Ruhaana (Aditi Rao Hydari) who looks graceful in pastels, flaring anarkalis and that’s about it, and Pandit Ji (Amitabh Bachchan) who is the king of chess but needs a Wazir to avenge the common enemy who supposedly committed a crime he has no proof of, except ‘Maine uski aankhen dekhi thi’. And then there is NNM (Neil Nitin Mukesh), whose Game of Thrones rumor lasted longer than his impact in this movie.

Despite the repetitive flashbacks and weak direction, the good parts about the movie are Amitabh’s acting, comic timing, dialogue delivery, the fact that the movie doesn’t get boring, is quite to the point and is aesthetically pleasing not because it has lavish sets like Bajirao but because it has good looking and fine actors which make the movie watchable. Music is average except for Tere Bin and Atrangi Yaari.

Watch it if you are a fan of Big B and Chess 😉
